PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF - up to 100 MB
Runs locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or sent to a server.
Choose an image, select a platform preset, and click its Resize to button to create a downloadable image at that preset's dimensions. Use Cover for a crop, Contain to keep the whole picture with a solid, transparent, or blurred background, or Stretch to change proportions. After the first export, open Create more sizes from this image, set separate crops for additional sizes, and download the outputs together as a ZIP. Processing stays on your device.

How do you turn a landscape photo into a square post?
Choose your image, select Instagram Square, and click Resize to Instagram Square to create a 1080 × 1080 image. Before exporting, choose whether to crop the sides with Cover, preserve the whole photo with Contain, or change its proportions with Stretch. The preset determines the output dimensions; Fit mode determines how the source fills them.
For a 2400 × 1600 landscape photograph, centered Cover takes a 1600 × 1600 source square starting 400 pixels from the left edge. It then scales that square to 1080 × 1080. Each side loses 400 source pixels. Moving the crop changes which side loses more, while Zoom at 2× reduces the sampled square to 800 × 800 before enlargement to the same output dimensions.
With Contain, the same photograph scales by min(1080 ÷ 2400, 1080 ÷ 1600) = 0.45. The picture becomes 1080 × 720, centered with 180 pixels of background above and below it. Stretch instead maps the whole rectangle to the square, scaling width by 0.45 and height by 0.675. Faces and circles therefore change shape. These choices produce identical canvas dimensions but different compositions.
Which social media image sizes can you export?
The tool includes 32 presets in nine platform groups. Featured collects common choices; the Platform dropdown exposes the full groups. The table lists representative built-in sizes and their default formats. These values describe what this tool exports, rather than guaranteeing how a platform will display the file on every device.
| Platform | Use Case | Dimensions (px) | Aspect Ratio | Default Format |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Square Post | 1080 x 1080 | 1:1 | JPEG | |
| Portrait Post | 1080 x 1350 | 4:5 | JPEG | |
| Story | 1080 x 1920 | 9:16 | JPEG | |
| Post | 1200 x 630 | 1.91:1 | JPEG | |
| Cover | 820 x 312 | 2.63:1 | JPEG | |
| X / Twitter | Post Image | 1200 x 675 | 16:9 | JPEG |
| X / Twitter | Header | 1500 x 500 | 3:1 | JPEG |
| Post | 1200 x 627 | 1.91:1 | JPEG | |
| Cover | 1584 x 396 | 4:1 | JPEG | |
| YouTube | Thumbnail | 1280 x 720 | 16:9 | JPEG |
| YouTube | Channel Art | 2560 x 1440 | 16:9 | JPEG |
| TikTok | Post | 1080 x 1920 | 9:16 | JPEG |
| Pin | 1000 x 1500 | 2:3 | JPEG | |
| Snapchat | Story | 1080 x 1920 | 9:16 | JPEG |
| Snapchat | Geofilter | 1080 x 2340 | 9:19.5 | PNG |
| Post | 1200 x 628 | 1.91:1 | JPEG | |
| Banner | 1920 x 384 | 5:1 | JPEG |
Profile and square variants are also available. Snapchat Geofilter and Reddit Community Icon default to PNG; the other presets default to JPEG. Auto follows each preset's format. For arbitrary width and height, use Image Resizer. Platform interfaces can crop or overlay uploaded artwork, so review the final post before publishing.
How do the crop preview and zoom affect the result?
In Cover mode, drag the crop frame to reposition the subject. The rule-of-thirds grid helps place a face or horizon, and the dimension badge reports the source region being sampled. Center snapping helps restore balanced framing. Zoom runs from 1× to 4× in 0.05 increments; increasing it selects fewer source pixels without changing the preset's output size.
Focus the crop control to reposition with arrow keys. Normal presses move the focal position by 2 percentage points; Shift increases that step to 10. The engine uses the selected source rectangle and enables high-quality canvas smoothing. That setting does not guarantee a specific interpolation algorithm or recover detail missing from a small original. For a reusable source crop before resizing, use Image Cropper.
When should you use Cover, Contain, or Stretch?
Cover fills the output by cropping overflow, which suits photographs whose edges can be discarded. Contain preserves the full source proportions and fills unused space, which helps with logos, product shots, or artwork with text near the edges. Stretch uses the full source but changes proportions whenever the source and target ratios differ.
Contain offers White, Black, Transparent, Blurred image, and a custom hex input with a color picker. Choose PNG or WebP when you need transparent padding. Blurred image fills the background with an enlarged copy while keeping a sharp copy centered above it. Its Blur radius control spans 0–60 px, initially 30 px. The blurred-background result is fully opaque, even when the source contains transparent pixels.
How do you keep a different crop for each size?
After the first export, open Create more sizes from this image and tick the additional presets. Under Crop per size, choose Adjust crop beside a queued output. Each adjusted size keeps its own focal position and zoom; untouched sizes inherit the shared crop. Reset to shared crop clears those separate overrides.
Per-size cropping applies only in Cover mode. Contain and Stretch use the whole image. Fit mode, background, output format, and quality are shared settings rather than separate controls for every queued preset. Review both wide and tall previews before exporting: a face centered in a square can need different framing in a narrow Story.
What do the safe-zone guides show?
Show safe zones is available for Instagram Story, TikTok Post, Snapchat Story, and YouTube Thumbnail. In Cover mode, the first three shade the top 14% and bottom 20% of the frame. The thumbnail guide marks a bottom-right rectangle covering 20% of the width and 16% of the height.
These are approximate composition guides for interface overlays, not a platform validation check. They are drawn over the preview and are absent from exported images. Keep important text and faces away from the shaded areas, then inspect the uploaded composition. Matching pixel dimensions alone does not ensure that captions or interface buttons will leave every part visible.
How do output quality and ZIP downloads work?
Output offers Auto, JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Preset JPEG quality varies from 90% to 95%; the Quality slider allows an override from 40% to 100%. Selecting PNG explicitly hides that slider because this export path does not use lossy quality. Lower JPEG or WebP quality changes encoding, not dimensions, and there is no promise of a particular byte size.
Additional presets are processed sequentially from the source file and appended to the existing pack. With multiple outputs, Download ZIP saves the combined files; each output is also downloadable separately. Batch filenames follow {original-name}-{preset-slug}.{ext}. For example, a JPEG output from launch.png using Instagram Square becomes launch-instagram-square.jpg. Check the displayed file sizes, and use Image Compressor if an upload needs a smaller file.
What are the file limits and privacy boundaries?
The chooser lists PNG, JPEG, WebP, and AVIF with a displayed 100 MB limit. The byte check permits files up to 104,857,600 bytes. Browser decoding determines whether the image can be read; compressed file size alone does not predict the memory required for its pixel buffer. Start with a smaller source if a very large image fails.
Decoding, crop rendering, format encoding, and ZIP creation happen on your device. The site's Content Security Policy permits connections only to this site. Local image processing does not mean the page itself makes no requests: site resources still load normally. The resizing path works with browser pixel buffers and generated blobs rather than uploading the source for conversion.
