Which tool do I need?
Edit a recording
- Extract a short voice memo or ringtone → Audio Cutter
- Remove a mistake from the middle → Audio Cutter
- Soften the beginning and end with fades → Audio Cutter
Record a new take
- Capture your microphone with pauses between sections → Voice Recorder
- Trim a new take before downloading WAV → Voice Recorder
Formats and limits
Audio Cutter opens files that your browser can decode and exports WAV. Input support depends on the available codecs; a video file supplies its audio track only. WAV output can be larger than a compressed source. Large recordings also need enough device memory for decoding and editing.
Microphone recording
Voice Recorder asks for microphone access when you start. Choose an input, pause between sections, and trim the finished take. Download the original recording or export the selected passage as WAV before closing the tab.
What stays on my device?
Audio files and microphone recordings are processed on your device. Downloads save a copy; sharing is an explicit action. The site's CSP permits connections only back to this site (connect-src 'self'), including engines or models some tools load on first use. This is different from blocking every network connection.
