Email Signature Generator
Build a signature with four templates, local JSON drafts, and rich-text or HTML export.
Opening a file replaces the current form.
Contact Details
More fields: mobile, address, pronouns, social links, disclaimer
Logo or photo (optional)
PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG up to 5 MB. The image is resized in your browser to a PNG (max 200 px, shown at half size). Many email clients strip embedded images from pasted HTML, so for Gmail and Outlook, use a publicly hosted image URL even with "Copy signature".
Design
Enter your full name to preview the signature.
Install your signature
- Open Settings → See all settings → General → Signature and choose Create new.
- Click Copy signature here, then paste into the signature editor.
- Choose signature defaults for new messages and replies, then click Save Changes.
Gmail and Outlook block data-URL images in pasted signatures. Use a publicly hosted image URL. Recipients may need to allow remote images; send a test email to check the result.
Runs locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or sent to a server.
Enter Full Name and your contact details, choose a Template, then click Copy signature to get a formatted email signature. Four templates support an accent color and an optional logo or photo; Compact keeps fewer contact fields. Copy HTML or Download .html gives you the source instead. Check Light, Dark, and Narrow (320px) previews, and use Save draft to keep an editable JSON file. Generation runs in your browser, and hosted images remain unloaded in the preview.

How do you turn contact details into a finished email signature?
Enter Full Name, add your contact details, select a Template, and click Copy signature to copy formatted HTML with a plain-text alternative. A nonblank name activates Preview; the other details are optional. For a concrete example, enter Maya Chen, Product Designer, North Studio, [email protected], and example.com as the Website, then select Professional.
The result shows Maya's name above “Product Designer • North Studio,” followed by labeled Email and Web rows. The email links to mailto:[email protected]; the bare website becomes https://example.com. Leave Phone empty and there is no phone row. Change to Compact and the website disappears, while the name, role, company, and email remain. That difference is a template choice, not lost form data.
For an image calculation, choose a 600 × 300 pixel logo within the file-size limit. The resize scale is 200 ÷ 600, producing a stored PNG of 200 × 100 pixels. The generated image then displays at 100 × 50 pixels. Copy the result into your email signature settings and send yourself a message to inspect the actual output.
Which template should you choose for your contact details?
Professional, Modern, and Creative draw from the same contact list, but arrange it differently. Compact intentionally keeps fewer fields. Compare the preview after switching templates before assuming every populated field will be included.
| Template | Layout | Contact behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Professional | Accent border on the left and labeled contact rows | Shows the full supported contact list |
| Modern | Accent-colored name and pipe-separated contact items | Displays entered web and social URL text |
| Creative | Italic role line and an accent separator | Uses short social labels with dash-separated items |
| Compact | Inline name, role/company, email, and phone | Omits mobile, address, website, and social links; phone is plain text |
An optional image and Legal disclaimer wrap any template, including Compact. Pronouns appear in parentheses next to the name. Keep the contact methods you want recipients to use, rather than filling every field simply because it exists.
How are websites, social handles, and text handled?
Website and LinkedIn URL accept HTTP or HTTPS addresses; a bare address receives an HTTPS prefix. Whitespace inside a web address, protocol-relative addresses beginning with two slashes, and other explicit schemes are rejected. This is a filtering rule, not a check that a page exists. Open the destination yourself before distributing the signature.
X, Instagram, and GitHub also accept simple handles with an optional leading @. The generator attaches each handle to its corresponding profile base address. Email and Phone become mailto and tel links in the broader templates, while Address remains plain text. These transformations do not verify account ownership, email delivery, or phone service.
Text is HTML-escaped, so typing markup into Company or Legal disclaimer does not insert custom HTML. For example, an ampersand remains visible text while its source representation is escaped. The generator is a structured form rather than an arbitrary HTML editor.
What happens to an uploaded logo or hosted image?
Choose PNG, JPEG, WebP, or SVG up to the displayed 5 MB limit: exactly 5 × 1024 × 1024 bytes are allowed. Larger files or other MIME types produce an error. Accepted uploads are drawn onto an opaque white canvas and exported as PNG. SVG is rasterized, transparency receives a white backing, and small images are not enlarged during resizing.
The longest stored side is capped at 200 pixels. Display dimensions are half the stored dimensions, rounded to whole pixels with a minimum of one pixel. Both HTML width/height attributes and inline sizes are written. Round photo adds a 50% border radius; it does not crop the source into a square.
A valid Image URL (optional) takes precedence over an uploaded image. Clear that URL to use the upload again. The preview substitutes a placeholder for hosted images, while copied and downloaded HTML keep the actual URL. With no upload, hosted images use default stored dimensions of 200 × 200 pixels; with an upload present, its dimensions are reused. The URL image is not measured or resized locally.
What do the dark and narrow previews actually test?
Light and Dark change the preview background; they do not simulate an email client's color rewriting. Narrow (320px) requests a 320-pixel preview width, constrained by available space. Use it to inspect long contact lines, but treat the result as a layout check rather than a guarantee about every inbox.
The accent warning checks contrast against white at 4.5:1 and against dark #121212 at 3:1. That second threshold does not certify normal-text WCAG AA compliance. The generated layout uses inline styles, tables, and an Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif font stack. These are implementation choices, not proof of identical rendering across clients.
How do you install or export the signature?
Copy signature is the formatted-paste option. Copy HTML puts raw source on the clipboard, so a visual editor may display tags if you paste that source directly. Download .html saves the same generated markup as email-signature.html. If rich-text clipboard writing fails, the tool attempts a copy-event fallback and reports success or failure.
Install your signature provides separate instructions for Gmail, Outlook web, Outlook desktop, and Apple Mail. Follow the relevant tab, choose defaults for new messages and replies where offered, and save in the mail client. The generator does not modify your email account. Check a sent message with images disabled as well as enabled; essential contact information should remain readable as text.
How do local drafts and image privacy work?
Save draft downloads JSON containing contact fields, template, accent, and image state. Open draft validates the file and replaces the current form; it does not merge contacts. An HTML export is the finished signature, whereas JSON is the editable draft. Save a draft before leaving if you want to resume without retyping.
Generation and uploaded-image conversion run locally. Hosted images are deliberately not requested by this page's preview. The exported signature still references those hosts, so displaying it in an email client can request the remote image. Keep downloaded drafts private because they contain the contact details and image data or URL you supplied.
