All Stored Data
No data stored in localStorage.
What data does brownie.tools store?
- Theme preference - Whether you prefer light, dark, or system theme.
- Recent tools - The last 10 tools you used, for quick access on the home page.
- Error log - Browser errors captured while using tools, only shared if you opt in via the feedback form.
- Writing documents and versions - Markdown Editor and
Online Notepad save titles, text, and versions in the
bt-local-documentsIndexedDB database, with localStorage as a fallback. Use "Delete all local notes" above or in either writing tool to remove them.
What about file data?
Files you process (such as images and PDFs) are handled entirely in your browser's memory. They are never written to localStorage, disk, or any server. Once you close the tab, processed data is gone. Writing documents and versions are saved locally as described above.
How to clear everything
Use the "Clear All" button above, or clear your browser's site data for this domain via browser settings. This resets preferences and deletes both writing tools’ local documents and versions. Downloaded backups must be deleted separately.
