Monthly bonuses and a gross raise
The raise applies to base gross salary. Bonuses are non-wage gross payments; only their unused premium base can carry to the next two months. No incoming bonus carry is assumed before the start month.

Enter a monthly salary in TRY and choose Gross to Net, Net to Gross (first month target), or Fixed Net throughout the year to see deductions and employer costs. Select Tax year and Start month, then enter any previous cumulative tax base. The gross-based modes support monthly bonuses and a scheduled raise; fixed net solves a separate gross amount each month. Review the remaining calendar months and download CSV. Calculations stay in your browser.

How much net pay does a monthly gross salary produce?
Choose Gross to Net, enter the monthly amount, and read First month summary for take-home pay and employer cost. For a worked example, use the default tax parameter set, January, Employer incentive set to None, and 50,000 TRY gross. Leave previous earnings, extras, allowances, bonuses, and the raise blank. The default set uses a 33,030 TRY gross minimum wage and a 297,270 TRY monthly SGK ceiling.
| Item | Calculation or displayed amount |
|---|---|
| Employee SGK | 50,000 × 14% = 7,000.00 TRY |
| Employee unemployment | 50,000 × 1% = 500.00 TRY |
| Income tax base | 50,000 − 7,000 − 500 = 42,500.00 TRY |
| Income tax before credit | 42,500 × 15% = 6,375.00 TRY |
| Minimum wage tax credit | 33,030 × 85% × 15% = 4,211.325 TRY before display rounding |
| Payable income tax | 2,163.68 TRY |
| Stamp tax | (50,000 − 33,030) × 0.759% = 128.80 TRY displayed |
| Net salary | 40,207.52 TRY |
| Total employer cost | 50,000 + 10,875 + 1,000 = 61,875.00 TRY |
The calculator retains fractional kuruş during arithmetic and formats monetary results to two decimal places. Adding displayed deduction amounts can therefore differ slightly from subtracting the unrounded deductions. This example is a first-month result, not a promise that the same gross produces the same net in December.
How is Turkish net salary calculated from gross?
The premium base is capped at the selected year's SGK ceiling. Employee SGK and unemployment contributions reduce gross earnings to the income tax base. Monthly income tax is the difference between progressive tax on the cumulative base after this month and tax on the base before it.
A separate cumulative calculation tracks minimum wage earnings after employee contributions. Its monthly tax becomes a credit against salary income tax; payable income tax cannot fall below zero. Stamp tax applies only to gross above the minimum wage. Net equals gross minus employee premiums, payable income tax, and stamp tax, plus any entered non-taxed amount. The exemption is a tax credit, not simply a deduction from gross before applying one flat tax rate.
Which calculation direction should I choose?
| UI option | What stays fixed? | What changes? |
|---|---|---|
| Gross to Net | Your base gross input | Net follows monthly cumulative tax and entered adjustments |
| Net to Gross (first month target) | The base gross solved for the starting month | Later net can differ as taxes, bonuses, or a raise change |
| Fixed Net throughout the year | Your monthly take-home target | Gross is solved separately each month |
Both net-target modes search gross amounts in integer kuruş and select the closest attainable net using the same forward payroll calculation. The first-month target refers to your selected Start month, which need not be January. A non-taxed allowance is included in the target rather than added above it. Fixed net hides and ignores bonuses, extra gross earnings, and raises; an allowance larger than that target is rejected.
Which tax parameters apply to the selected year?
Open Parameters used to inspect minimum wage, monthly premium ceiling, contribution rates, stamp tax, and annual bracket thresholds. The two stored annual sets use successive income tax rates of 15%, 20%, 27%, 35%, and 40%. Only the portion above each threshold enters the next band. The parameter definitions reference Income Tax General Communiqués and SGK publications.
The earlier stored set has a ceiling approximately 7.5 times minimum wage; the default set uses nine times. These are stored parameter sets, not a live payroll feed. One minimum wage and one tariff apply throughout each selected year. Changing Tax year recalculates the scenario; it does not automatically choose a different year for each row.
How do employer incentives change the result?
Employer cost adds employer SGK and 2% employer unemployment contributions to taxable gross, plus any non-taxed amount. Employer incentive defaults to None. General reduces employer SGK by the points shown for the selected year; Manufacturing reduces it by five percentage points. Both use the capped premium base.
These options change employer cost without changing employee deductions or net pay. Selecting an incentive models its rate reduction but does not verify employer eligibility. Compare hiring budgets with the same salary inputs and different incentive settings, rather than treating the reduction as extra take-home pay.
How do bonuses, raises, and allowances affect payroll?
Extra taxable earnings per month adds a recurring gross amount. Under Monthly bonuses and a gross raise, enter individual monthly non-wage bonuses and a percentage increase effective from a chosen month. The raise multiplies base gross only; it does not increase the recurring extra or multiply bonuses. Use the Percentage Calculator to check a proposed raise separately.
Current earnings consume premium ceiling capacity first. Only unused non-wage bonus premium base can carry into the next two months, using any remaining capacity; excess regular wages do not carry. This can create premiums in a later month without repeating the bonus as gross income. Non-taxed amount per month instead increases net and employer cost without changing tax bases. The tool accepts your exemption classification; it does not determine whether a benefit legally qualifies.
What should I enter for a mid-year start?
Select Start month and enter Previous cumulative tax base (TRY), meaning the income tax base already accumulated, rather than previous gross salary or tax paid. Rows run from that month through December. July therefore gives six monthly rows, and Total sums only that displayed period.
The minimum wage exemption follows the calendar month independently of your prior earnings input. No incoming bonus premium carry is assumed before the start month, and there is no field for entering it. The first summary describes the selected starting month. Compare those assumptions with your payroll records before using the result to explain a job-change payslip.
How can I check inputs and export a scenario?
Enter positive salary amounts without a currency symbol. The parser accepts 33.030,00, 33,030.00, and 33030.00 as the same amount. Invalid text and negative amounts prevent a result. Optional blank fields count as zero. This is a Turkish monthly payroll model, with no country selector or automatic benefit classification.
Download CSV saves salary-payroll.csv with monthly gross, combined employee premiums, prior cumulative base, income tax, stamp tax, net, employer cost, and a totals row. CSV numbers use two decimal places; employer cost is included even though the yearly on-page table omits that column. Inputs, calculation, and CSV creation run in the browser. For budgeting after deductions, the Loan Calculator can compare a payment with your resulting take-home income.
